Motor Lock Design
iSteady Q can use as a standard selfie stick if you lock the motor to fix the phone clamp and it will enter the low power mode.
-Turn the motor lock to the left, and the phone clamp is not able to rotate.

*After locking the motor, even if iSteady Q has no battery, it still can be used as a standard selfie stick.

Cool stabilizer/tripod/selfie stick) The kit includes a cord for charging, remote control, pouch and instruction. Translation is not perfect, but understandable. The length of the retractable stick is about 55 cm. The legs are made of dense silicone, they are stable. Stabilization is quite yourself, if the phone is heavy, calibrate with it. Functions directly stabilizer (not applications): rotation to the arbitrary angle in the xz plane, rotate to 90 deg, auto stabilization in this position. On other axes does not turn! To pair with a smartphone, you need Bluetooth and the app hohem joy, it has all the standard functions (Bring/remove, shooting by gestures, tracking and so on). I liked it, will greatly facilitate the shooting!

Received the iSteady gimbal this morning. First impressions are good. Please note that this is a single-axis gimbal. It is a quality build and not flimsy. Easy to connect to Bluetooth and the app is simple to follow. I will be having fun with the 360 panorama video feature and tracking options with this Hohem. A few negatives: You must use the included charger, my usual Type-C charger does not work on the Hohem gimbal which means I will need to carry around the original charger when travelling. Also, when using desktop mode, you will need to remove your case because the holder does not expand, unlike in the gimbal mode. Another thing is that on the motion Timelapse mode, I couldn’t work out how to lock the exposure/focus prior to pressing “record”. I later found out that you have to do this once you press record, when the counter timer (3, 2. 1) is set, giving you three seconds to set the AF/AE lock. The Hohem is a great size. Pictured for comparison is the DJI Osmo Mobile 6.
